Freeway is one of the many artists that does not get the respect or credit he deserves. His last album, Philadelphia Freeway, did not have the success that was expected, even though he had some very strong singles. On his new album, Free At Last, Freeway is joined by co-executive producers Jay-Z and 50 Cent. With that high-powered collaborative effort, Freeway is prepared to finally become a mainstream force. The first single off of Free At Last is Roc-A-Fella Billionaires featuring Jay-Z. The track was produced by Dame Grease and features a sample of the Helen Gallagher classic song Big Spender. The song is incredibly catchy. The beat is perfect for the song and the verses are very strong from both artists.
On Lights Get Low Freeway is joined by Rick Ross and Dre. The track features a very interesting beat produced by Cool & Dre. The song is fairly solid and features Dre doing his best Pharrell imitation.
The beat for It's Over hits incredibly hard. The song features a nice classic soul sample featuring Freeway rapping partially about his disgust for Just Blaze not producing a song on his new album. The song is extremely solid.
Step Back is produced by DJ Don Cannon and features Lil Wayne. The song is definitely a hood anthem and could be played at any urban club out there. Lil Wayne adds a traditionally strong verse which just adds to the appeal of the song.
Still Got Love is another track that features a 70's soul sample. The sample is incredibly catchy. The song is definitely more commercial than most of the songs on the album.
Take It To The Top features rap superstar 50 Cent and is produced by J.R. Rotem. The song is incredibly catchy and features a solid chorus from 50 Cent. The song is catchier than most of the songs found on 50's last album C.U.R.T.I.S.
When They Remember is another very solid song using a 70's soul sample. The beat is very catchy and will definitely be a club staple.
Baby Don't Do It is another 70's soul sample featuring Houston rap veteran Scarface. The song is very solid and catchy.
