Clear Acne with Household Items

Contrary to popular belief, acne is not caused by eating too much chocolate. What causes acne is excessive oil building up in the pores of the skin. Acne occurs in adults and teenagers. People try all
types of over the counter treatments to clear acne only to find that it doesn’t work or that it is too strong and cause more problems. Instead of spending tons of money on over the counter products or special cleansers there are a number of household products that will help clear acne.

Pouring a small amount of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda into a cup and adding a little water to make a paste. Dab small amounts of the paste on the acne and let it sit for a few minutes. Gently scrub your face with the remaining paste. The baking soda cleanses your skin thoroughly, removes dead skin cells, loosens blackheads, and makes your face feel clean and smooth. Toothpaste can do more than just clean teeth if can also clear acne. Dab a small amount on the acne but make sure you use regular toothbrush, not any of those flavored kinds. You can also use Crest toothpaste on the acne and cover with a band-aid overnight to help the swelling go down.

Try some glue. Yes, that’s right, glue. Cover your face with a thin layer of Elmer’s glue, of course, avoid your eyes and mouth. Let the glue dry, and then gently peel it off. Peeling off removes a thin layer of skin along with oil build up. The next item to use is Epsom Salt. Mix one teaspoon of Epsom Salt with three drops of iodine and add to ½ cup of boiling water will help clear acne. Let the mixture cool, dab some cotton balls or cotton strips with the mixture, and apply it to the acne. Do this three to four times, reheating the mixture. Once you have done this, apply an alcohol-based astringent, such as Witch Hazel to clean your face.

I actually just got finished doing a daily treatment of putting Extra Virgin Olive Oil on my face to clear my acne up. It works very well and you come out from the oil feeling fresh clean and smooth. you can see the difference and also FEEL the difference. The thing that you have to have on the EVOO is it has to say First Cold Press. something with the oils and your body oils. so its really weird. Just put it on before you go to bed and just wash it off with a warm washcloth and *ladies it will take all your make up off in one wipe* just go to bed. thats it. When you wake up your face will feel extraordinarily smooth and clean.

NEVER EVER put toothpaste on a popped zit, or a zit with a scab on it! The toothpaste will hurt TERRIBLY coming off, and it makes the zit last A LOT longer than if you left it alone. Also, make sure you leave it on for 15 minutes or less, or you'll end up with a big problem...

I read this and I've also read other acne pages too. All Of the stuff- except to Elmer's Glue- were in other pages. It all sounds pretty reasonable. Try the baking soda thing. It really works. I just did it last night. Let it set for 10-15 min. If your face looks really chalk-like, don't worry. Mine was like that too. Also, try to rub a lemon on your face. Cut it in half, rub the inside part on your face and let it sit for 10 min. Dabb it off with a wet paper towel or a wash cloth. Both of those get rid of your blackheads. The lemon makes you smell really nice too!! You don't need to doubt this beacuse I did it last night. I still have just a few blackheads left but I only did it once. If I do it again tonigtht, I'm sure that they will all be gone. My face looks so much cleaner and it feels alot softer too.
