Since I was a child I have been exposed to harsh chemical cleansers. My mother loved to clean, she loved cleaning products - and if it didn't smell fresh and clean and chemical than it was not clean. I recall as a child arriving home to the scent of pine sol or other chemicals. The scent of Easy Off makes me instantly nauseas - I remember entering the house many a lunchtimes and being greeted by the scent. It is memories like these that solidify the decision to clean healthy, clean green - and stop the exposure of harsh chemicals to my family.

Green cleaners are becoming more popular as time passes and awareness grows about the dangers of global warming and the chemicals that we are inputting into the environment. It is becoming increasingly popular for young people to realise the effects that latter generations have had on the environment. We are learning that it is time for the tables to turn. One small thing that we can do is change the cleansers that we use; eliminating the chemicals from cleaning supplies would be an ultimate goal. If enough young people invest in the cleansers - the market will skyrocket! The demand will be great, and the knowledge will catch on!

Popular brands of ecologically friendly cleaning supplies are Method, Bio-life, Melaleuca, Ecover, Seventh Generation, and Lifetree. Personally, I am most familiar with bio life, and method - as those are two of my favourite products.

From these brands, method stands out as the largest and trendiest product line. The bottles are sleek, sexy and unlike anything that you would ever envision a cleaning product to look like. The products are bleach and chlorine free - healthier, and better for the environment. Clean is more than clean - clean is becoming synonymous with healthy, and sustainable. These are the cleaning products of the future and it's about time the definition of clean has been changed.
