The Best of Atlantic City's Night Life
Embed:
Night life in Atlantic City, NJ can be crazy if you know where to go. The two most happening hotel/casinos in the city for people in their twenties are The Tropicana and The Borgata. If gambling is what you're looking for, your best bet is hitting up The Tropicana. Unless you go on a Wed. at 10 am you're most likely not going to find a cheap table. However, it isn't unheard of to find tables between ten and 15 dollars on a Friday night. In comparison to The Borgata, this is fantastic (I went there on a Fri. night and was unable to find a table under $25).
Cheaper gaming isn't the only thing that The Tropicana has to offer. For karaoke enthusiasts, check out Planet Rose. A rarity these days, Planet Rose has no cover-charge. The club is small, and usually isn't over-crowded. The drinks, while they are expensive, are the average going price for drinks outside of a dive bar. The only down-side is that you have to pay two-dollars for each song that you sing.
Ah my favorite, P.F. Chang's Chinese Bistro, part of The Tropicana's French Quarter. The restaurant is a family style Chinese restaurant that can't be beat. It's extra large, with a downstairs restaurant, and upstairs bar area. The prices are affordable, and the food is amazing.
Also in the French Quarter you can find Cuba Libre, The Red Square, and Carmines. If you've got lots of cash to blow, these are the places you can check out. Carmine's is a delicious family style, Italian restaurant, but a salad alone will cost you roughly 20 bucks. You can safely assume what the rest of the meal will cost you. Cuba Libre and Red Square are enjoyable, theme bars, but if you're not planning on spending at least 50 dollars a person, don't bother going in.
This is when you should head to The Borgata. Again, gambling isn't worth it, but you nightlife is fantastic! If you're a fan of the club scene, Borgata offers two major clubs to choose from; Mixx, and mur.mur. Like any club, these two have cover-charges between ten and 20 dollars, depending on the day of the week. Drinks are over-priced, but you can still have an awesome time. My suggestion, make it a VIP night.
