Preschoolers can make their own easy thanksgiving turkeys with this Thanksgiving craft recipe for the sticky parts.

Thanksgiving Crafts: Holiday Stickers Appropriate for Preschoolers

Preschoolers of any age can make these custom stickers. This free Thanksgiving
craft recipe does require adult supervision because of the hot water.

Ingredients for Preschool Thanksgiving Craft

First, make the sticky part for the preschoolers. You will need

one packet of flavored gelatin
two tablespoons of boiling water

More Materials for the Preschool Thanksgiving Crafts Sticker Recipe

small drawings cut into circle shapes
also paper cut into feather shapes
or draw a whole turkey
or cut out turkey and Thanksgiving pictures from magazines

one pan for boiling water
one glass bowl
one paint brush

Adults: Boil the Water

Adults will need to boil about 1/4 cup of water.

Preschoolers Can Pour the Ingredients

While the adult is boiling the water, kids can pour the gelatin into a bowl. They can also measure and add the white sugar and stir it together.

Making the "Sticky" for the Stickers

An adult can add the boiling water to the bowl, and mix the ingredients, dissolving the sugar and the gelatin.

Making the Stickers

When the mixture has cooled, kids can brush it onto the back of the pictures to make stickers.

Use the circle and feather stickers to collage together a turkey. Or, make whole turkey stickers out of drawings or magazine pictures.

Either leave the Thanksgiving turkey stickers to dry, and use later, or stick them right away onto a piece of paper.

I have never seen a recipe for sticky backing for homemade stickers- wish I 'd learned of this when my kids were younger though they would probably still use it on occasion.
