The 2006 Bowman Baseball Card set consists of 227 different cards. The first 200 cards are of veterans. These are of players such as Derek Jeter, David Ortiz, and Alex Rodriguez. The next 20 cards are of rookies for the 2006 season. The last 7 cards in the 227 card set are the autographed rookie cards which are only available in hobby boxes. One of these autographed cards is inserted in each box on average.
There are three different parallel versions of the autographed rookie cards for 2006 Bowman Baseball. The Blue Bordered Parallel is sequentially numbered out of 500. The White Bordered Parallel is sequentially numbered out of 120. The Red Bordered Parallel is sequentially numbered to 1. Only one of each of the Red Bordered Parallel cards was made.
The 2006 Bowman Baseball set also consists of 110 different Bowman Prospect Cards. These cards are inserted two per pack. They are numbered between B1-B110. The “B” signifies that they are part of the Prospect Cards set. There are three different parallel versions of each of the Prospect cards, which are colored and sequentially numbered the same as the Autographed Rookie Cards.
There are also 13 Autographed Bowman Prospect cards. These 13 autographs and the other 7 rookie autographs combine to fall one per box.
The Bowman Prospect Cards also have refractor versions. These are colored and sequentially numbered as follows:
Super Fractor Parallel - sequentially numbered to 1
Red Refractor Parallel - sequentially numbered to 5
Orange Refractor Parallel - sequentially numbered to 25
Gold Refractor Parallel - sequentially numbered to 50
Blue Refractor Parallel- sequentially numbered to 150
X-Fractor Parallel - sequentially numbered to 250
Refractor Parallel - sequentially numbered to 500
