Attempting to understand the human body can be quite the task. There are hundreds of tiny pieces that are very complex. The complexity of our human body makes it almost impossible to know everything. Yet, this is what doctors are trying to obtain a better grip on through education and learning. A few medical researchers have reached the conclusion that you can only learn so much from a book. Doctors need something far more advanced to assist them in learning. This is why that same team of medical researchers have created CAVEman.

A group of researchers at the University of Calgary in Alberta were frustrated with the current way of learning the human body. They felt that there was a lot of information not being explained. Their love for the human body and dream of creating a better technique to learning caused them to join forces. What resulted was a team effort that lasted nearly six years. They ended up creating a remarkable "4D" hologram system called CAVEman. This is the first ever gigantic, realistic model of a patients body created. It took a lot of work to reach this point.

The team of medical researchers had to gain thousands of pages of data to create CAVEman. They combined data from CT scans, X-rays, biopsies, and other medical tests to create their 4D hologram system. A view of the CAVEman will be able to see all the complex pieces that make up the human body. They will be able to study pieces that could only be seen by actually looking into a human. The team hopes that the hologram will be used by large universities and places of learning. They also plan for the hologram to just be the beginning of more advanced things to come.
