Tennessee Titans Football Report Week 11

Vince Young had probably the best game of his NFL career. It wasn't enough however to defeat the Denver Broncos. The Titans fell to 6-4 after their 20-34 loss on Monday Night. The offense for the Titans looked better than it's looked in a while. The defense however, without two starters struggled to stop the now 5-5 Denver Broncos. Here are the key moments form the game:

Brandon Stokley catches a 48 yard pass to give Denver a 7-0 lead.

Glenn Martinez returns a punt 80 yards to make it 14-0 Denver.

Brandon Jones catches a 21 yard pass for a TD.

Jason Elem scores field goals from 21 and 39 yards.

After a replay, Vince Young is given credit for a 4 yard TD run.

Andre Hall's 62 yard run puts the game out of reach in the 4th quarter.

There are both positives and negatives from this game if you are a Titans fan. Let's start with the positives. Vince Young had arguably the best game of his NFL career. He threw for over 300 yards and rushed for another 60. He was very accurate in this game. He proved he could stand in the pocket and throw the football. He had the look of a champion last night. He was determined like never before this year. I hope the critics will leave him alone, at least a little now!

The negatives. Vince didn't get much help from his wide receivers. Drops from Brandon Jones, Bo Scaife and Rodell Williams cost the Titans key field position, first downs, and in one case, possible points. People who criticize Young should take a look at the number of missed opportunities on perfectly thrown balls.

Furthermore the great Titan defense we witnessed early in the season was non-existent. With defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth out, the Titan frontline struggled. They gave up big gains on the ground something they have not done much of this season. With veteran Nick Harper out, the Titans secondary was attacked, particularly second year player Renaldo Hill. Despite one of the Titans better performances offensively, the defense could not keep them in the game.
