Now while some of you are thinking oh how wonderful, I want to tell you about some of the other "side effects" of such long hair.
You will go through a lot of shampoo and conditioner. About two to three times the amount that an average person goes through.
You cannot use just one bottle of hair dye, in fact, you might need as many as three in order to color your long tresses.
Barrettes often will not hold longer hair without sectioning your hair out and using more than one barrette, or using bobby pins to help hold hair in and keep it secure.
You will inevitably zip your long tresses into anything from your jeans, your kids jeans (when helping them dress in the morning) and even, alas, your own boots!
When shopping, be aware that anything hanging on a door such as a wreath at a holiday season, or even just a simple decoration, is a potential hazard! I have on more than one occasion walked out of a store with a wreath attached to the end of my hair. A most embarrassing situation.
Young children love to grab it and swing off of furniture or other objects. They also frequently like to run sticky fingers through it in order to clean said sticky fingers.
It can also get caught in doors such as the car door, the house door, store doors, and my personal favorite, the dryer door...don't forget the lid to the washer while you are listing doors.
Another favorite is when standing close in an elevator or other crowded area it will often get caught to Velcro on someone else person. (a hat or hood or jacket etc.) when that person leaves you tend to follow till you get your hair back.
Avoid standing next to fans at all costs...Nothing like a quick spin to get your blood pumping let me tell you.
