Charitable organizations and non-for-profit organizations are struggling, today more than ever, to acquire the donations needed to continue servicing the public. Relying on both public and private donations, many charitable organizations find they are struggling to meet the needs of their clients while remaining properly staffed and managing the essential needs of the organizations.

For many charitable organizations and non-for-profit organizations, the monetary donations often come in the form of donations from employees within a corporation. In fact, with the proper promotion and endorsement within an organization, many non-for-profit organization find a substantial amount of their donations come from corporations.

The attitude of employees within the organization is what drives the donation and contribution success. Believing in the organization's cause and understanding the full credibility of the organization, employees are often more willing to contribute a portion of their paycheck to a worthy cause. If, however, your organization does not present with a positive image, or lacks any degree of credibility, your organization can suffer in not only the loss of one employee's donations but in the donations of many employees, accounting for the loss of thousands of dollars.

If your charitable organization or non-for-profit organization is in need of donations and funding, it is in your best interest to target donors through a corporate campaign. With the promotion of the corporation, many employees assume their employer has certified the credibility of the organization and they are more likely to make contribution when they would not otherwise do so.

To target a corporation for employee donations, your marketing campaign must be diligent and credible. It is important that your non-for-profit organization provide for a well organized platform and, if possible, try to elicit the support of the corporation's matching dollars. Not only do matching dollars boost your revenue, they send a stronger message to the employee's that your organization is highly regarded.
