There are literally hundreds of ways to make money online. Although there are many illegal schemes and scams out there, there is one way that many people have been using with great success.

This way is by using Ebay. Many people have been using this online auction site to make not only a little extra money, but enough money that they can actually support themselves and their families comfortably!
What is their secret?

The process of learning the ins and outs of Ebay can be time consuming and frustrating. It can be a crap shoot at best at times. There are many variables that need to be in place in order for you to sell enough items to even break even.

One thing that you have to makes sure that you are always on the lookout for are scams. One way to lessen the chances that you will be a victime, is to look at the feedback of the person selling items. The higher the ratings, the less of a chance that they are a scammer.

Buyers can be very scrupulous creatures. They take no chances when they are looking for items on Ebay. Once they have determined that a seller is a reputable one, they will examine the product that is being sold.

As a seller, this is your biggest chance that you can make a sale.

You want to makes ure that you are selling your products at a fair price. Yes, you will want to make a profit, but you don't want prices so high that they scare off potential buyers. A good formula for pricing an item is to take the price that you paid for it and add half of that price again.

Another tip is to keep your items at $9.99, $19.99, $29.99 etc... Ebay fees tend to rise considerably on the $#.99 mark. This mark is also a psychological marker. Most people feel as if they are getting a better deal if something is .99 instead of $1.00 (go figure! ).

There is also something to be said about the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words". Ebay allows one free one and more can be added for a fee. The more pictures you have in your auction, the higher the chance that you will make a sale. There are plenty of free sites online that will host Ebay pictures, such as PhotoBucket.
