ICarly is an IHit!

I loved her on Drake & Josh and apparently the head mucky-mucks at Nickelodoen felt the same. YAY US! Miranda Cosgrove gets the series that she deserves and America gets a fresh new spin on the teen scene.

Thirteen-year-old Carly Shea and her two best friends, Sam and Freddie, run a weekly webcast. Carly lives in Seattle, Washington with her eccentric older brother, Spencer, a distracted artist. This keeps the parental interference on the down-low, which means that their web show is outrageously hilarious! The trio are always looking for new ways to outdo themselves - and each other.

The first episode of iCarly is appropriately titled iPilot and you can expect all of the iTitles to follow suit.

Thanks to another one of Sam's devious plots at school, Carly gets busted and winds up in charge of the school's talent show auditions. Bored to tears with the entries she was forced to sit through, and yet inspired by a few odd entries, she came up with the idea to do her own web show where her and her friends would be able to feature all sorts of zany stunts and general craziness. Kids from all over the country could log onto their website and audition for a clip on the show or give them ideas for wild antics. Sometimes they even have a guest star or two.

Carly and the crew actually have a website set up with a weekly webcast, and kids really can and do send in videos, emails, digital pics and a whole lot more. Check it out at iCarly.com and check back soon for more mini-recaps by me.
