Black: A Poem

I felt my world
Crush and crumble
Before my very eyes
My heart has broken
Into a million pieces
My life is so worthless
My world is black
Now I see life
In black, white, and shade of gray
No colors, no beauty, no light
Just black, and complete darkness
In time this heart will heal
And then my world
Will once again be
beautiful, colorful, and full of life
But until then
All that I see is black
