Upcoming Comic Book Movie Adaptations: Iron Man, Hulk and More

is past summer was once again full of sequels, remakes and adaptations. Among the adaptations were a couple of comic book adaptations; Spiderman 3 and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. The comic book adaptations have been doing well so movie studios are going to continue to churn them out. These are some of the comic book adaptations that have started production and will soon be coming to a theater near you.

Iron Man
Iron Man is the next big comic book adaptation set to hit theaters. Not too long ago the trailer debuted and fans have been raving about the armored millionaire ever since. Tony Stark, the man who built and controls the iron suit, will be played by Robert Downey Jr. and Iron Man is directed by Jon Favreau.

Punisher: War Zone
The first Punisher comic book adaptation was disappointing but a second Punisher movie is in the works for some reason. Punisher is the story of a man whose family is killed and at first seeks revenge but eventually decides to fight crime. Unlike other superheroes though Punisher kills people and has become a vigilante.

Incredible Hulk
The Hulk is another comic book adaptation that wasn't exactly great the first time. The first comic book adaptation of the Hulk had Jennifer Connelly in it and they still couldn't make a good movie. Oh, but this time the Hulk is going to be gray. I'm sure that is going to make all the difference.

The Dark Knight
The upcoming comic book adaptation I'm looking forward to the most is The Dark Knight. Batman Begins was, in my opinion, the best comic book adaptation of all time. I'm not real sure about Heath Ledger as the Joker but Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine reprising their roles as Batman, Commissioner Gordon and Alfred makes it a pretty promising movie.
