Review: Chicco Caddy Stroller

I registered the Chicco Caddy Stroller ($49.99) for my baby shower. I had already gotten a "deluxe" style stroller for trips to the beach or where I would need cup holders, etc. I also wanted an umbrella stroller for quick trips around the block with my daughter, something I could just pull out and go. This was one of the gifts I was really hoping to get - and I did. Although it's a little high-priced for an umbrella stroller, I think the price is worth it. With most baby products, my husband has to shown me how to set up and pack away a product. I fumbled with many products, like my pack and play, for a long time before realizing how easy it was to collapse. Still, for me, unless I'm shown how exactly to do it, baby products seem so complicated. I'm proud to say that I didn't need any explanations or help for the Chicco Caddy Stroller. It was easy to figure out and set up and took me less than 30 seconds on my first try!A really great thing about this stroller is that it weighs only 11 pounds. It's easy to carry to the car or push along the sidewalk. It's the complete opposite of bulky and that's nice when all you want is a nice walk with your baby. It has a matching bag to slide the folded stroller into, making carrying it to the car (or anywhere) really simple. The stroller can hold children of 6-36 months of age, or weight up to 37 pounds. The wheels turn and glide easily. The stroller has a 5 point harness and has a reclining seat (2 positions). My daughter is very comfortable in it, except for the adjustable canopy. I feel they should have made this larger, as at most times, the sun can be glaring in her eyes. I correct this with baby sunglasses, but nonetheless, it's a drawback.
Although this caddy stroller is small, it comes equipped with a lot of good features that come on full-sized strollers. It has storage pockets and a full storage basket underneath. It's ideal for going for a walk, but not a long trip in the mall. There's plenty of space, but if you plan to bring a diaper bag and an array of baby accessories, it wouldn't be wise to take this stroller.
