"Taxi to the Dark Side" is heralded as a confirmation as Mr. Gibney of one of the most outstanding nonfiction filmmakers working today. This film stands as a simple inquiry into the suspicious death of an Afghan E. taxi driver at an airbase in 2002 and stands as an uncommonly well researched examination of how an innocent civilian was imprisoned, tortured, and ultimately murdered by the United States. The uncanny link between this unfortunate instance and the policies which are made at the very highest level of the current United States government in Washington, DC are inescapable and frightening.
