Black Friday Sales in Cheyenne Will Be Better Than Ever

Cheyenne shoppers are poised to have the best shopping year in the city's history as they debate their proposed schedule for this Black Friday. New stores abound, such as Kohl's and Michael's, and their entrance into the market can only spell good things for prices this year.

So where do buyers concentrate their efforts? After all, there is only so much shopping time, even with the outrageously extended hours of Black Friday. Citizens of Cheyenne realize there are two main destination options: Dell Range retailers, and everyone else.

Here are some ideas in both categories on where you may find your best deals:

Dell Range Retailers:
1. K-Mart. Why? Because I've seen their ads, and they have some great deals. Add to this the fact that, somewhat undeservedly, they are one of the less-frequented stores in town, and you have a good chance of getting in and out with your purchases with plenty of time to hit the other retailers.

2. Kohl's. Come on, how long have we waited for a decent, nicely-priced clothing retailer to hit this place? And now we have one. Until they opened here in Cheyenne, I drove multiple times a year to some of their bigger sales down in Fort Collins. They have the clothing that the teenagers are wanting, and they also have stuff that flatters the rest of the shopping population. A final plus is their proximity to Michael's and Frontier Mall that will provide a nice flow to your shopping excursion.

3. Frontier Mall, although I shudder to say it. I'll admit, I don't like our resident behemoth of a mall. They have managed to keep their rent so high for so many years that it is no wonder the new retailers are building stand-alone structures all around them. But how can you give serious credence to your status as a Black Friday devotee without hitting the sales of retailers such as JC Penney, Sears, and Sports Authority?

All Other Retailers:
1. Wyoming Home. I love the idea of supporting local, and it adds a nice flavor to gifts for out-of-state relatives.

2. Cropper's Corral. They are going out of business and I'm sure they won't want anything left on their shelves after this holiday shopping season.
