So, you have determined that you're addicted to myspace.com. You sit up nights and don't sleep. Why? To pimp myspace.com, your page. You search myspace.com to find all your new friends. You are late for work in the morning because you did a search for "band music myspace.com" to find out the latest about some hot bands on myspace.

Nobody's faulting you for this addiction. It's hard to resist the seduction of the myspace pages. It's so easy to find old friends, to stay in contact with people all over the world, and to search for new friends. It's also not too difficult to want to pimp your myspace.com page. You can put a spiderman background on it, to show you're cool with Spiderman III, or a psychedelic background to show you have an alternative style. There are endless uses for myspace.

The greatest and most addicting part about it is the fact that it allows you to escape reality. You can avoid real human contact and get indirect contact through myspace.com. This is generally where the problem starts to come in, when you no longer face reality and the dreamworld of myspace becomes your reality.

There comes a point when too much is too much. You know that you need to get back in touch with reality, and get away from your myspace page, and everyone else's myspace page for that matter.

What do you do? Here are ten tips to help you deal with the all too common myspace.com addiction.

1. The first idea is to put a limit on how much time you will spend on myspace.com per week. You may give yourself one hour a day to start, and then go down to fifteen minutes per day, and finally to about an hour a week. Now, some of you may be saying, wait, I don't get on an hour a day right now, so what's the problem? It really doesn't have that much to do with how much time you are on myspace.com. It's about whether it has become a problem for you in your life.
