The West Virginia Moutaineer Bowl Championship Dreams

West Virginia University college football team has two weeks to see if destiny is alive or if they have to settle for just a normal Bowl Championship Series game. Right now, WV Mountaineers are primed to slip into the National Championship game with a little help of course.

The West Virginia Mountaineers have two games left to mark another wonderful season for all the West Virginia fans to enjoy. Connecticut and Pittsburgh are standing in the way for winning the Big East Championship and helping pushing the Mountaineers into contention for a National Championship showdown with a yet to be determined team.

Scenario #1:

LSU will be playing Arkansas for the final game of the season and the West Virginia Mountaineers will need Arkansas to win. Another possible scenario is that LSU wins against Arkansas and lose to either Tennessee or Georgia in the SEC Championship game.

Scenario #2

Missouri Tigers must beat Kansas and that will knock Kansas down in the poll standings. Missouri will be leapfrogged ahead of West Virginia in the BCS standings. As Lee Corso says "Not so fast my friend" you see Missouri will then have to play Oklahoma or Texas for the Big 12 Championship and West Virginia Mountaineers will need Oklahoma or Texas to knock of Missouri.

So the drama continues and offers college football fans a thrill-seeking ride all the way up to end. The teams don't know what the humans or computers will determine at the end of the season. So the key for the West Virginia Mountaineers is to keep winning and hope all the pieces fall into place to allow Coach Rich Rodriguez play for a National Championship.
