My long wait has finally come to an end. A few weeks ago I placed a huge holly jolly holiday order over at www.Lush.com. I managed to steer clear of Lush for a few months, and then out pops a slew of holiday bath and body items, that I could not resist. One item I couldn't wait to get to my greedy hands on was Lush's Bling Crosby Bubble Bar. I have loved bubble bars ever since trying my first one; which I believe was The Comforter.
What Is A Bubble Bar:
When I first saw the words Bubble Bar, I had no idea what the heck it was. After researching how to use a bubble bar, and what it was I was excited to try one...what is it?
A bubble bar is basically a bubble bath in solid form. Instead of shaking in a slew of powdered gunk into your bath tub, you get a solid bar. You then run your bath water, break the bar up under running water, and a miracle occurs.
The Miracle:
A luscious Hollywood like bubble bath. Bubble galore...so many freaking bubbles you get lost in it. So many bubbles that with some bars if you use the whole thing, bubbles will overflow onto the floor.
I know that sounds too frigging good to be true, but this is what you get when it comes to Lush Bubble Bars. Some work better than others.
The Bling Crosby Bubble Bar:
This sweet little number is a golden color (does not resemble it's picture much, as it is a more golden color than it is orange), and is coated with gold colored pieces of glitter. I was nervous that the glitter would stick all over the place, such as my tub, and my skin when I first placed the order.
I was in a holly jolly Christmasy mood though, and at the time when using the Bling Crosby Bubble Bar I didn't care. 'Bring on the glitter!'
The bubble bar had a gorgeous scent, but the scent was nothing that I would expect to be part of their holiday line. It smelled just like the infamous Karma scent that is a Lush favorite. This was the main reason I ordered it. I was thinking though that Lush would of added something to it to give it a more holiday scent...only they didn't.
