Philadelphia, aka "Murder City, USA" Makes Most Dangerous Cities List

So I spend most of the year living in Philadelphia,PA in one of the worst sections of the city up in North Philadelphia. The City of Brotherly Love is often times now called Murder City, USA and Killadelphia due to the insane number of murders that occur at a rate of sometimes more then

1 per day. As of November 1st there have been 339 murders committed within city limits and as of writing this on November 19th, there are more likely at least 14 more to add to that number. The violence in Philadelphia is completely out of control with most of the murders being committed with illegally obtained handguns. Most of the murders are drug related although many are innocent victims caught in the middle of gunfights. The streets of Philadelphia have become the Wild West urban style with gun fights, robberies, and stray bullets flying at all times of the day and night.

You'd be hard pressed in Philadelphia to not hear sirens at least a few times in a day and to be sure, the city hospitals and police force are kept more then busy every day. Many of these murders go unsolved and no one seems safe these days. A lot of Philadelphians seem to figure a lot of drug dealers and gang members are being murdered because of their own involvement in these things and thus it is the bad eliminating the bad. Sadly too many of the murders have been innocent bystanders, robbery victims, even police officers. It seems that there are people in Philadelphia who have no problem killing someone in cold blood for that new pair of basketball shoes, a few bucks, or over a pointless argument. I think many from this city are ashamed to call themselves Philadelphians because the low lifes of this city make those who live here seem like a bunch of gun toting thugs with itchy trigger fingers.

(cont)Last year it was safer for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan combined than in one USA city like Philly or Chicago. Chicago had 128 homicides from JUN-AUG 08. Afghanistan, an active combat zone had 151 soldiers killed in the whole of 2008. Remind me who the terrorists are again because I certainly see the greater threat dwelling not in caves in a foreign land, but in alley ways and dark places in our own cities. Murder, attempted murder, rape and violent crime committed with a firearm should get you nothing more than a hearing and finally a few moments to lament over the craftsmanship of the Carpenters union that you will experience first hand... Man has this nation lost its way in the politically correct jungle...

On September 11th 2001, 2,823(est) people were killed by Terrorists. We call them terrorists because they killed 2,823 people and rightfully so. Since 9-11-2001, Killadelphia, before 2010, is on track to have had more of its citizens killed by our own domestic terrorists the number of victims the terrorists slaughtered on 9-11. This does not include the countless maimed and scarred survivors. 6 Police officers have been killed in the last year and a half but they like to say in the media 7 in the last 3 years so it sounds better. What a crock! How does that put Philly into perspective for everyone. The economy is bad and I think it is high time to put the carpenters union to work on building gallows for these bastards. I am not worried about some guy with a towel on his head hiding in a cave with a laptop. They could only hope to achieve the results that these putrid swine here in America do in our own cities and there is no end in sight. Last year it was safer fo

I really did not know what was going on in the world that we live in,mainly because I dont want to be involved in the nonsense. The sad thing is I live in Dayton,Ohio and did not know until today from a co-worker that this city is considered dangerous. I understand and hate to see it, but I understand that crime is everywhere but for Dayton to be number 17, 10, and 21 on a list that includes over 250 other cities,is ridiculous and we need to do something before theres no one left to guide our childrens children or better yet before here isnt a single trace of human beings. The article above made me think and realize we need change and a lot of other people need GOD

How about an article on the safest towns or cities in America? One town has a law that every household must have a gun and must prove that they know how to use it and crime is down to almost nothing. Guns can't jump up and kill someone. How many people have saved themselves and their families and friends just because they showed they had a gun? In KC a number of years ago, we had a jerk who would molest little old ladies, making them take off their clothes and touch them. The cops finally put out a notice amongst themselves that they were to find him and NOT bring him in alive. He heard this and left town. A couple of months later, he was shot and killed down south by a little old lady with a gun after he broke into her house. I said then we should collect some $$ and send her a dozen red roses and say, "KC thanks you!" In KC we also had a group of thugs (cops thought there were at least 2 groups) that would rob people in their homes in the evening. This was in a narr
