After reading an article about a website called Moneytube, I noticed there are other sites that do the same thing that Money tube did. Each of these websites has made a name for themselves for paying folks upload their videos. However, each website has different methods when it comes to compensating those who upload videos on their websites. Let's take a look at each website and their payment methods.

Revver.com: I heard about Revver.com from a news report on WUSA in Washington, DC about places where you can earn extra money. I signed up for this website in February 2007, and I got my 1st payment in September. Here is how Revver payment system works. After your video is uploaded and approved, they attach advertisements and tracking technology to the video to generate revenue. Every time your video is shared by others, you'll get paid for the distribution. The actual amount of money you can vary based on video's performance. The real drawback is that Revver doesn't have a big audience like Youtube. That means you have to share your video with a lot people to earn cash.

Break.com: Once known as Big-Boys.com, Break.com has become the leading entertainment channel for guys fueled by user created media. This website does pay for the videos you upload. In order for your earn money for your video, your video needs a lot of votes. For that to happen, you need to send the web address around to friends. Tell them to visit your video on Break, vote it to the home page, and rate it (five stars, of course). If the video is chosen, you will be paid $400 for exclusive use on Break.com or $200. The payout increases each time you upload a video that's popular among it's users.

Takeaways
  • Break pays $400 for your 1st video uploaded
  • Lulu.tv has free shareholders account
  • Revver user are paid for posting and sharing videos
Did You Know?
In September 2007, Revver.com has paid $1 million to more than 25,000 people who have posted their work since last September, or added Revver video links to their blogs and websites. Their biggest payout was $50,000 to the methos-coke video.
