Baltimore, the City that Bleeds, Makes Most Dangerous Cities List

I would like to start this off by saying that I am not deeply involved in politics, and I cannot state as a fact the things that I believe are going on inside of my local government, all I know is what I see everyday in Baltimore and I also have my believes as to why it is happening. For the past few years Baltimore has ranked inside the top 10 most dangerous cities in the U.S. and has ranked inside the top 3 in most dangerous small cities I blame former Baltimore mayor, now Maryland governor, Martin O'Malley.
I believe the conditions still exist today because of his control over Baltimore mayor Sheila Dixon.
O'Malley's horrible decisions began when Ed Norris (believed by many to be Baltimore best police chief and crime fighter in the city's history) was fired because of misusing around $20,00 of the departments money, he would later serve jail time for the same offense.
Ed Norris took a city that had an average murder rate that was 7 times the national average and reduced the murder rate to below 300 for the first time in over ten years.
He has been Baltimore's only bright spot in the last ten years, and really the only person in the system was willing to get his hands dirty in order to help the city.
It is my opinion that Ed Norris was punished so harshly due to O'Malley's dislike of him, I also believe that O'Malley felt threatened by his presence in the city.
Now Baltimore is without Ed Norris as police chief (although his radio show is among the most popular in the city) and O'Malley has even more power which he uses to play puppeteer over Sheila Dixon.
When it comes down it, Baltimore is so dangerous due to lack of a leader.
There is no one standing up and taking the city back, the police force has become a joke, the Mayor is being controlled by the Governor who has shown in the past that he is not worried about what's best for the city.
The education system is horrible in Baltimore city, the crime and murder rate are growing out of control but the government seems to be more worried about slots and banning smoking in bars.
It seemed that all we had to look forward to in Baltimore was the Ravens, but now that's not looking so good either.

Baltimore at night, you can't see all the blue lights, which are cameras placed in dangerous areas that allow the police to monitor them.
