Among Colorado's skiing Meccas known as Aspen, Snowmass, and Steamboat the fact that Vail is gradually attracting more and more skiers cannot be denied. Those with a close eye on the tourist dollar admit that Vail is doing something right and even though the snow is much the same and the town of Vail looks a lot like many other skiing towns, there is one thing that sets apart Vail from its rivals: competitive pricing.

Vail itself is a town that was specifically created by the owners of the Vail Ski Resort. The area is home to a current total of 193 runs, more than half of which cater to the advanced skier. In 2006 Vail was rated as the number one ski resort by SkiNet when special emphasis was placed on the fact that because of the vast difference of the various runs, even the most avid skier or snowboarder will have the chance to stay for a long period of time and experience a wide variety of terrains and levels of difficulty, thus never having to face the boredom so common to other ski resorts.

Since Vail is conscious of the desires its clientele have expressed over the years, the resort is working hard to attract the tourist dollar and especially the repeat dollar by not only maintaining their runs in an almost meticulous fashion, but also offers attractive lodging deals which permit even the family watching the dollar to enjoy an unforgettable vacation.
