Christmas time in Syracuse is a wonderful experience. There are so many festive things to do that it's hard to keep track of them all. Critz farms is a great place to go when you want to get into the holiday spirit. From picking out the perfect Christmas tree to meeting shopping in the gift shop, there are a number of things to do here during the Christmas season. Take free wagon rides to and from the Christmas tree field and pick out the perfect tree for your family. Saws are provided for the cutting of the Christmas trees and free baling and loading of the trees is also available. Purchase fresh garland, wreaths and other unique gifts in the gift shop. The gift shop is also offers holiday ornaments, NY aged Cheddar Cheese, maple syrup, fudge and a wide assortment of other goodies. On November 25th, kids will get the opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Clause. They will be at the farm from 1pm to 4pm and will arrive by horse-drawn wagon. Children will also have the opportunity to ride on the wagons and will get to meet Santa in the gift shop to sit on his lap and give their Christmas wish lists. This event at the farm is free for all kids. The farm is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 7pm and the family fun hours are on the weekends from 9am to 6pm.

Bring the kiddies to meet Santa and Mrs. Clause, as well as visit all the amazing animals that the Rosamond Gifford Zoo has to offer. Children and parents get to have a buffet meal with Santa and make crafts and decorate cookies with Mrs. Clause. Breakfast goes from 10am to 11am and lunch goes from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. Prices range from $8 for those with memberships to $12 for nonmembers. Reservations are required, so make sure you call and book a spot in advance.
