Vail Colorado is beautiful any time of year, but winter time is just breath taking, especially once the snows begin to fall. With the snows comes the skiing, and Vail Colorado is #4 on the list of the top ten ski resorts in North America, according to Away.com.

Vail Colorado has a population of approximately 4,589, (taken from 2006 census). Vail was established in 1966 at the base of Vail Ski Resort, which opened in 1962. Vail is popular for it's skiing, and other winter sports, as well as for being a year round destination for outdoor activities. During ski season, Vails population number rises to around 40,000, according to E-how.com.

One look at Vail Colorado and you know why it is such a popular ski resort. Being such a popular ski resort tends to make a town very expensive. Vail is no exception to that one with some vacation rentals costing as much as hundreds, even thousands per night! Roost Lodge is 1.5 miles from Vail Village, and the ski slopes. Vail village has numerous restaurant, and nightclubs for having fun when your not on the slopes. Guests receive a complimentary continental breakfast, as well as other amenities like, heated pool, hot tub, sauna, and free city bus shuttle.
