Cuisinart CDF 100 Compact 1.1 Liter Deep Fryer, Brushed Stainless Steel Review
The Cuisinart CDF 100 Deep Fryer is a cute little compact kitchen appliance that goes well with the modern kitchen gadgets. To begin with let me caution you that this can hold only 1.2 liter of oil only and hence this cannot handle heavy load.
This serves best for a family of three or for making a quick bite for the guests. This facilitates in deep frying veg and non veg items in golden brown color with crispy crust. The best part is that it uniformly fries the stuff and cooks the inner portion retaining the juices and soft texture.
My daughter gifted us on our wedding anniversary celebration and by far this is the best small sized deep fryer that I have come across in recent past. The main feature that makes it stand out is its compact size and this requires very little storage space. I prefer keeping it on the counter top itself because it is being used daily for frying. My wife loves fried seafood and the deep fried shrimp is his favorite. It is not suitable for frying chicken breast and large piece of meat. In case of potato fries you can do only a small bowl without sticking to each other.
The brushed stainless steel surface gives it a polished look and does not get corroded. Since it can hold only very less volume of oil, the fried stuff absorbs relatively little oil and hence this is popular among health conscious people. Research has proved that using the same oil for frying over and again is carcinogenic. So I use very limited amount of oil for frying and dispose of the remaining once the recipe is done. If I had been doing the same with large frying pans then more oil has to be thrown out and results in waste of money.
