So you've just managed to get level seventy and you've got some decent gear on your toon. The next logical step is either PvP or going the PvE route which includes raiding. However, before you even sniff an application for a raiding guild you're going to have to get yourself keyed for Karazhan. The process isn't difficult, but you're going to have to put some time into it and unless you're going through the process with some familiar faces, you're probably going to run into a bit of trouble with going into the dungeons for key fragments.

Before you do anything, you're going to have to make sure you meet a certain number of requirements. One: you have to be able to fly, no way around this. Two: You're going to need 350 lock picking, a rogue friend or have the key to Arcatraz and Shadow Labyrinth. Three: You need to complete Escape from Durneholde Keep in the Caverns of Time. Setting your home to Shattrath can make things a lot easier.

Once you can do all of these things you're ready to start. Head over to Deadwind Pass in the Eastern Kingdoms of Azeroth and go to Karazhan. You might run into an opposing raid which can make life difficult if you're on a PvP server. Once there, you'll be able to receive two quests which are done in the ruins of the town just in front of the tower. There are stairwells leading underground that are opposite of one another, you'll have to go down both to complete one of the quests while the other simply requires you to kill the many mobs around the area and loot a number of items from them.
