Grand central is not just a stop off the train, it is a holiday hot spot. Vanderbilt Hall houses more then 70 vendors during the Grand Central Holiday Gift Fair, all for your shopping pleasure. It is open from November 19th to December 29th. It is a giant 12,000 square foot shopping space open seven days a week. Don't expect to find a boring shopping experience, these vendors offer everything from exquisite jewelry to gorgeous clothing. After you are done shopping, head over to the grand concourse. The Kaleidoscope Light Show is not to be missed. It is just the thing to put a smile on your face (as if the shopping wasn't enough). This amazing not to be missed show runs every half our on the half hour from 11am until 9pm daily from November 30th until January 1st. The Grand Central Holiday Gift Fair is open Monday through Saturday from 10am until 8pm and 11am to 7pm on Sundays (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day).

The Union Square Holiday Market is another market to not be missed. The craftsmanship of the handmade holiday decorations and ornaments will amaze you. You will find antique prints or fine art to give as a gift, or to dress up your own home. Be prepared to eat. The amazing food , delicious snacks and warm drinks will be the perfect ending to the perfect shopping experience. The holiday market starts November 23rd and ends on December 24th. They are open every Monday through Friday from 11am until 8pm, Saturdays from 10am until 8pm and Sundays from 11am until 7pm.
