During this time of year everyone is giving thanks for all fortunate things that have pleased them in their life. We give thanks for our jobs, for our family, for our health, for material things like cars and houses; I believe, however, that we should thank God for letting us live another day.

Now, we can thank God all we want for all the things we have on Thanksgiving, but what if we haven't accepted Christ? What happens if we are thanking God for all the good things he's given us but we haven't accepted his son's sacrifice? Would we look sincere, just, or even worthy of giving thanks in God's eyes? Would God accept our gratefulness? What if someone who has Christ in their life and has accepted him as their Lord and Savior, what if that person thanks God? Will God accept his gratefulness over someone who has not been saved?

Let's look at it this way, I'm not saying this is right but just try to comprehend this point I will try to make.

Say you have a son and that son of yours goes into the world, does NOT do anything wrong all of his life, does good deeds to people and teaches good things. This son of yours gets prosecuted and is sentenced to death, but does NOT complain because he knows that the prosecutors are wrong and don't know any better. This son, whom you love so much, gives his life to make those that impure, pure in your eyes.

Now, after this your son has passed away, he is resurrected and tells those that followed him that through him is the only way those impure people can be cleansed and seen in YOUR eyes. This is what happened with God and Jesus Christ. Imagine, someone thanking you for helping them in their time of need but they chose not to accept your son as their Savior. It has been clearly stated that your son is the only way to make that person pure in your eyes, will you accept their "thanks?"

Did You Know?
Through Christ you will be saved.
