Dragon NaturallySpeaking software is quite possibly one of the most amazing and revolutionary products on the market, especially for those who spend a great deal of time typing. In addition to saving time and alleviating the risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome (or saving your hands if you are to suffer from it) Dragon NaturallySpeaking changes the way you think and communicate with word processing programs. I'm using the program right now, and so far I have not had Dragon NaturallySpeaking misinterpret anything I said. While there are occasionally flubs, you can almost usually assume that this is because you have not spoken word clearly. If this is the case, you simply have the program go back and correct the word where it will store it, thus making it less likely to repeat the same mistake in the future.

Takeaways
  • This software can greatly increase productivity but expect to be less productive at first
  • For those who type constantly, shifting a routine in thought-to-paper can be difficult
  • Editing becomes an even larger priority as words are close to what they should be and are skipped
Did You Know?
The 99& accuracy rate Dragon boasts is quite true--as long as you've spent enough time with your software so that it "knows" you.
