Linda Hogan, aka Linda Bollea, filed for divorce from wrestler husband Hulk Hogan, according to the Associated Press. The couple was married for 24 years, according to various sources.

Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea has been quoted as being surprised by the news, which is a shame.

He was quoted as saying, "I'm kind of shocked. You caught me off-guard. My wife has been in California for about three weeks... Holy smokes. Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me... I just pulled over to the side of the road for five minutes to find out what was going on here." (Reuters.com)

Didn't Terry Bollea watch any episodes of his own reality TV show on VH1, Hogan Knows Best?

Everything I know about the relationship between Linda and Terry is based on the the TV show, Hogan Knows Best. It was pretty apparent throughout that she had lost that loving feeling for her wrestler husband.

In one episode, when Hulk Hogan is trying to do something nice for his wife Linda Hogan, he draws her a bath, which from other episodes we learn is one of her favorite activities. She is thrilled about the bubbles, the effort, and most of all, the chance to have this time alone. Not time alone with Hulk Hogan, but time alone, all alone, with herself as company.

As Hulk stands their in his shorts (underwear?) it is pretty apparent that she has no interest in his physical company any more. The scene reminded me of a scene from Gone with the Wind when Rhett finds the bedroom door locked.

As a spectator, you feel bad for the guy, even if you understand it from the woman's point of view of wanting to be alone. In both cases, the situation was sad, almost bordering on pathetic, which sounds much harsher than it should.

In other episodes, it was apparent that Linda did not even respect her husband's' professional experience and knowledge, when she hired someone to train her, that was not her wrestling husband.
