A Poet's Proverbs

1. The comfort of a clear conscience is more important
than the convenience of a quick fix.

2. Love is a gift that Luck forgets to hand us
but we take for ourselves anyway.

3. To triumph over sadness is to purge a
sickness from the soul.

4. If you want to escape from the tortures of Hell
you must let go of your Demons' wings,
kick the Hell hounds in their teeth,
and start climbing the steep canyon walls that
you helped forge with your vices.

5. Fireflies burn brightest among the memories
of the Dead, in cemeteries that are rarely visited.

6. We make parks of our Dead,
water them frequently
and mow them once a week.
