Patient Heal Thyself! The Benefits of Natural Medicine
The M.D.s believe in aggressive intervention to "kill germs" and "fight disease". They are willing to use the deadliest poisons available in their attempts to kill germs and remove symptoms. Are they wrong?
What if, on the other hand, the mantra "the body can heal itself" is wrong? What does this mean to you? What can you do then, if you don't want the medical options of drugs (poisons), radiation and surgery?
When I teach N.M.D. and N.D. students the philosophy of natural healing, one of the questions I always ask them is, "Can your body heal itself? Yes or no?" Everyone always nods their heads that yes, indeed, the body can heal itself.
I then ask the simple question, "If the body can heal itself, why does your patient need you?", and watch the stunned reactions to the question. Then come the puzzled looks, for none of the students has ever asked themselves this question or considered what it means.
If the body is truly self-healing and self-replicating then it will do the job without outside intervention. If it cannot, then it will require aggressive interventions to "kill germs" and "fight disease", right?
So, which is it? Can the body heal itself, or not?
But what if there is a different, out of the box as it were, answer. What if the answer is yes and no!
Think about that for a moment.
The truth, and the reality, is that yes the body can heal itself - but only within certain narrow limits. Anything that moves the body outside of these limits results in the inability of the body to heal itself.
