As a newcomer to the American culture, I would like to offer a piece of advice on clothing style. My intention is not to sound judgmental or cocky, but rather talk about fashion from a neutral point of view. I was born and raised in Europe, so you can understand why I may have different taste in clothes and style.

Tighter clothes - what's so wrong about them? Why do most Americans think they are 'gay' and should not be worn? In my personal opinion, tighter clothes are more elegant, stylish and revealing.

Tight or baggy jeans - well, it obviously all comes down to a matter of perspective and personal opinion. If you go out to a club or any public place where you would like to send out the vibe that you know how to dress and take care of your body - choose tighter jeans. Tighter jeans make you look more confident and stylish in mostly any formal place.

Tight or large shirts - once again, it's all a matter of perspective and personal opinion. However, tighter shirts, just like tighter jeans, send off a signal of confidence and style. They also fit your body better and look more natural.

Obviously nobody wants to see an overweight person wearing skin-tight jeans with a tight shirt to top it all off. Therefore, good taste should be considered in choosing both tighter jeans and shirts. Moderation is the key, no need to go overboard. You need to look good while feeling good. Shoes - shoes should be elegant and comfortable. Don't go to the store and pick up the first pair of shoes that fits you. First of all consider if they go together with the rest of your outfits. My favorite shoes are by far Pumas. I would recommend looking them up just to see how elegant and stylish they look.

Color - over in Europe, at least in my country, we like to dress colorful. By no means do I mean to dress up like a lit Christmas tree or look like a walking rainbow. However, instead of wearing a plain grey shirt for example, we like to pick out something 'crazier'. A person wearing a colorful, nice blended and tighter outfit is easily labeled as happy, fun-loving, and confident by their peers...at least in Europe...at least in my country.
