Acheson Ventures is a company dedicated to revitalizing a one mile strip of Port Huron, along the St. Clair River, over the next ten years. One of the many things they do to help this along is the Christmas lighting display set up every year along the property. This includes the Seaway Terminal, Vantage Point, Desmond Landing, Lincoln Park and downtown Port Huron. This year, the 5th annual lighting of the Christmas lights took place November 24 at 7 p.m. This is the largest holiday display in the state according to the local paper, The Times Herald.

The beautiful display can be seen from many points along the river and downtown area. The lights are set up like a small little community with action displays and flashing lights. Some of the kinds of lighting displays are a locomotive passing through with a railroad crossing sign and steam coming from the engine that looks like snowflakes. There's even a lighthouse near it. There's a giant snowman that actually looks likes it's melting and then reappears complete again. There's a rocking horse that rocks back and forth, with a teddy bear riding on it. There's a gingerbread man and a gingerbread house set up near Lincoln Park. One of the buildings along Military Street has a giant Santa Clause on top of it making a list and checking it twice. Although it is not a light display, it does have a spot light on it so it can be seen at night.

On top of many of the buildings along the river are lighting displays as well. One includes a snow man playing peek-a-boo. Frosty the snowman is blowing wind towards some trees at another one. An elf is climbing a utility pole with some stars in his hand at another display. Each year there are new displays and this year there are four. This year they include reindeer chasing a snowflake by the marina, a snowman on top of Seaway Terminal and a Peace on Earth display near Oak Street.
