The greatest gift given by nature to India is the large Mountains range of Himalayas. This Mountain range provides lot of beautiful hill stations of the world. The tourism industry in India has developed tremendously due to this aspect. New hill stations are getting developed in this area at a very rapid rate. The tourists also have started giving importance to such new, less popular hill stations recently so as to avoid the rush and crowd of people at well known and popular hill stations. Kinnar is one such newly developed hill station situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh in India. Kinnar is located at a height of around 6400 feet from mean sea level. It has tons of natural beauty stored due to the snow clad Mountains, beautiful farms, and the most beautiful and colorful flowers.

Kinnar is located at around 120 miles away from Simla. The nearest airport is Chandigarh that is around 80 miles away from Kinnar. You will have to travel either by state transport buses or by hired car or taxi from Chandigarh. If you like to travel by train, you have to get down at Kalka railway station and travel by road up to Kinnar. The toy train can take you up to Simla from Kalka and then, you can reach Kinnar by road from Simla. This option can give you the opportunity to experience the most pleasant mini toy train ride from Kalka to Simla. You can also reach Kinnar by road directly from Kalka through national highway 22. There are some good hotels available here for your stay. Hotel Kinnar International is one such hotel. It offers a standard double room at a tariff of around Rs.2400 ($60) per day. The rooms are nice here with wall to wall carpet, cable TV, music system, running hot and cold water and king size bed. The best time to visit Kinnar is during summer from June to October as the winter is very severe here.
