Joe Biden to Use University of Northern Iowa Forum to Promote Education
November 27 2007 in the University's Lang Hall Auditorium. The Strong American Schools' ED in '08, the Iowa Business Council, and Lee Enterprises, have associated with UNI to conduct this meeting. Lee Enterprises is based in Davenport, and the organization publishes a number of newspapers within Iowa. The Iowa Business Council has 24 members representing a broad spectrum of the State's most significant business and education bodies.

The forums are open to anyone who wishes to participate, and there are no charges for admission. UNI has a tradition of well over a century of public service in a State where residents prize education highly. The Strong American Schools' ED in '08 is an impartial body dedicated to the cause of better education in the United States. It is an initiative of the Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.

A major objective of this event is to link international trade and commerce with the quality of education, and new trends in this area. Senator Biden will make a brief statement at the forums. Selected panelists and the audience will then participate in discussions on related matters. The Senator will also make closing remarks. The editor of a local newspaper will serve as moderator: Nancy Raffensperger is Editor at The Courier.

The American education system has largely failed to separate the two philosophies by not teaching economics properly. And so students go through school with a misguided idea that all economics like those touted by Obama are socialist. And there's really not any one else to tell them otherwise. Usually only in college do they learn the difference. ---------------------------------------------------------- Sarah Social Bookmarking
