Writing during the Christmas holiday season can be a lot of fun, there is just so much that can be written about. If you do a search on Google Trends, you will find the top 100 searches being conducted at any given time. If your premise behind writing is, hoping that someone will read what you have to say, it is always a good thing to be writing about popular topics. When I conducted a search to find out what is popular as of this writing I found quite a few subjects that are popular during the Christmas holiday season. One of the things I look for is, if it is popular this holiday season, will it be popular in years to come? That way I am writing about timeless material that will be referred to in the future and continue making me money.

One set of search terms I found that looks interesting is cybermonday, cyber monday, cyber sales, best cyber monday deals, cyber shopping, black monday sales, cybermonday deals, online sales, cyber monday sales 2007, cybermonday sales, online monday and internet monday. Obviously if you are looking for something to write about in the next few weeks there are a lot of people looking for good deals on the internet. Do you have any experience shopping for good deals? Most of us have. How about, do you currently use any products that are fairly new and might be popular for people looking for good deals online?

Time to start writing. Since online sales is a very popular search query right now, a very easy thing to write is a product review of a product that you already use. Another idea is to write a review of a company or website that you purchase products from. Have you purchased anything from Amazon or a similar internet sales company lately? Write a review of how your experience was with that particular product or company.

Good insights! Google Trends is also a good suggestion.

I forgot to include a link to Google Trends. It is a good way to find out what keywords people are currently searching for and how just how hot the keyword is. www.google.com/trends
