When my fiance and I were searching for photographers for our wedding, we found that choosing a photographer was one of the hardest decisions we had to make for our wedding. We began by looking online at the numerous wedding photographers in the Toledo, Ohio, area. Because of our budget, we had to automatically rule out a number of photographers because their basic packages were so expensive.

We also interviewed a number of wedding photographers in person after speaking with them on the telephone. It was important to us to find a wedding photographer that not only took great pictures in the traditional style we wanted, but that also had a great personality. After all, we were going to spend an entire day with them at the wedding, and we wanted to find someone we trusted with our most important pictures.

Photocelebration is owned and operated by a husband and wife team, Ed and Diane Koontz, that specialize in weddings, family portraits, and senior photos. When we met Ed and Diane, we were immediately impressed by their knowledge and experience. Ed has a great passion for photography which was evident during our first conversation. He explained that he uses digital photography, and talked about some of the pros and cons of using film compared to using digital equipment. Since a digital camera can store so much more information than traditional film, we were able to get more angles and shots than if we had gone with a photographer still using film.

The people at Photocelebration explained in detail the pricing and the options they offered. In September, 2007, they posted their new pricing on their website. The basic package is $1000, and it includes services for the day, a minimum of 700 images on a low resolution proof CD, and a complimentary engagement photo session. If you decide to purchase additional items, such as a hardcover album, reprints, or the proofs, they are all available for an additional fee after you purchase the basic package.
