With all the people out there with that thick coarse unmanageable hair, that no matter what you put into it to make it shiny and smooth, it just doesn't seem like it's working. Well being a hairdresser and also having very curly thick hair, I have had those days where I would try every product out there, to see if I can make my hair as silky and smooth as it can get. Well from experimenting with so many on the market, I can honestly say now the only product that I feel can do this job the right way is Silk elements. Many people really don't even know about this item probably, because it's mainly used for African American hair. Well to be honest with you African American hair is very similar to a Caucasian persons hair, the only difference really is black hair is more fragile for some reason I have noticed while working on it.

Silk elements you can buy in a beauty supply place or maybe even a place like Harmon's. You can get a big sized bottle which is 8oz for $6, which is a great deal compared to other glossing polishes for the hair. From being a hairdresser this is an ideal light weight product, that will make your hair feel so shiny and smooth, where you can just slide your fingers right through your hair with absolutely no problems at all. What I really like about this product is you can apply it when your hair is wet, but also then when you are ready to use any hot irons on your hair too. No matter how much you use, it won't weight your hair down like some of the products out there, also it won't give you that ugly greasy look either. Silk elements is used for all hair types like relaxed hair, permed hair, colored treated hair, frizzy, or even texurized hair. I have noticed also with this product, it actually locks and holds your color better too, which is a huge plus to all the people that color their hair. This product contains a lot of protein, Aloe Vera, and vitamin E, all which is very important for our hair, because our hair needs these essentials to be healthy, shiny, and frizz-free.

In MY opinion. I have the product. An I will say this, it does give your hair a nice shiny look which I loved BUT it gave my hair such horrible dandruff and it's not as light weight as it seems to be. I have curly hair and I put it on while it was wet so that when it dried I thought I'd straighten it since it has the product in it it'll give my hair some added protection. Plus, I've noticed in the past when I add on a product before straightening I don't have to afterwards cause it looks nice. Well, when my hair dried I got ready to straighten it but it looked horrid. My hair had a nice brilliant shine but the dandruff was terrible. An I never get dandruff in my hair. I thought maybe if I just continue straightening it would go away but it didn't. It looked even worse because the product actually seemed to be weighing my hair down a little too much creating a very un-natural straight look. So in the end I washed it out of my hair. I'm giving it to someone else who might have better luc

I'll have to try this on my daughter, we deep condition with Nutregena deep conditioning cream once a week and use Bed Head Frizz control shampoo and conditioner to keep it under control. But this product sounds really great too. Thanks
