Review: Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe in Historic West Linn, Oregon

I love visiting and shopping at quilt shops. If you love fabric like me, then you're constantly on the look out for well stocked shops in a pleasant atmosphere.

One such quaint little quilt shop is called Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe. You'll find this cute shop tucked away in historic West Linn, just a short drive to the southeast of Portland.

This quilt shop has a very cozy and inviting interior. The shop has several different areas including a wonderfully expansive selection of seasonal fabrics, flannels, children's fabrics, reproduction fabrics, and more.

The store offers kits for various projects throughout the year, and you can usually find a sample made up to see and touch. I've purchase several kits this past year and have found them to be very accurate and delightful.

Tucked throughout the store, you'll find other merchandise including figurines, home décor items, patterns, sewing supplies, button packages, and charm packs.

Owned and operated by Jan Hill, the Shoppe opened in September 2005 and, according to the website, is currently brimming with nearly 6,000 bolts of fabric. Wow! You can contact the store via phone or web to get on their mailing list and even order supplies.

Hollyhill offers a special club for frequent shoppers. When you spend $300 on non-sale merchandise, you'll receive a $25 voucher good towards your next purchase. Your spending amounts are printed on each receipt so you can always keep tabs on how close you are to receiving your next certificate.

When you visit, be sure to stop in the back room which houses the children's prints as well as the room behind the cash register area. This larger secondary room contains even more gorgeous fabrics to choose from and can be missed if you're not looking for it.
