On Tuesday, self-publishing company AuthorHouse announced that author Anthony Kairouz has published his latest book, Nuclear Iran: A Prelude to WWIII.

Kairouz, a Ph.D. in political science, professor emeritus in public administration, and an American citizen of Lebanese origin, attempts to do away with any misunderstandings and misconceptions surrounding Iran's regional and international objectives, and says that if they are not understood and deterred the world runs the risk of the imminent and catastrophic danger of "World War III".

Kairouz finds that Iran's nuclear program is not merely a benign one strictly for producing energy at all, but is being designed for that nation to lead the way in bringing about a world Islamic state run by Shi'ites adhering to Sharia law.

The Iranian regime in power now is certainly anti-Western and anti-Israel; however, critics point out that this is actually causing friction between the Iranian government and the majority of Iranians, who support democracy, equal rights for women, and a secular culture.

While many have dismissed the West-damning and Israel-cursing words of president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as mere hot-headed rhetoric, especially since he is not the Supreme Commander of Iran (a religious cleric is), the evidence continues to mount that he means exactly what he says and believes in every word.

However, some strategists have noted that Iran knows that its strongest course of action is to speak thunderously rather than carry a big stick. Iran has long banked on the West underestimating its abilities and audacity, but at once Iran is not in a position to have any support for initiating any hostile or aggressive actions on the national level.

Nevertheless, some Iranian leaders have within the last couple of years stated that if they could obliterate Israel, they would do so even in the knowledge that they could receive highly destructive nuclear retaliation, a fact that worries more and more analysts.

No matter what you may have been led to believe, Putin is KGB and that never goes away. Same as CIA once in, you are never out, and Putin misses the glory of the old USSR make no mistake about it. Great article!

You know, the problem with all this is that humans have a habit of waiting around until after being attacked before actually declaring war on their enemies. "Provocation" as we call it has never been the real moral justification for any war. The justification lies in the mere existence of a government that is willing to CARRY OUT such an attack. I swear, if we DON'T go to war with Iran, I'm going to take a leaf out of the left wing's book and start protesting our foreign policy! If Machiavelli could see the current state of the world, he would faint!

Jeff, you cannot "negotiate" with tyrants and maniacs, it just doesn't work like that. That tactic was completely diproven in World War 2 and it was abandoned in the Cold War. The only effective negotiations are the ones in which both sides are afraid of dieing and the dialogue is composed mainly of threats. Unfortunately, Iran simply doesn't have a strong fear of mortality and we've been so afraid of any kind of armed conflict that they really aren't about to take us seriously.

As always, Jeff, you have no connection with facts at all. But as always, Jeff, you are good for free comedy at your own expense. Thanks for the laugh, you puppet.

The comments are quite Russia phobic. The policies of Putin are as much in response to the idiocy of the Bush admin as anything else...and while Iran is a serious concern, it can be dealt with by sound policy instead of war-mongering and we would all be better off.

Interesting comment, Jarred. I have a news piece submitted about suppression tactics of the Russian Federation right now. Jamie has written elsewhere about Putin.__Excellent commentary as ever, Jamie. I would opine that what is holding all in check is a mixture of Western firepower, the interactive dynamics of the 21st century global economy, the Iranian populace that by and large doesn't have any interest in the words of Amadjihadist, and as you said the masses not joining as one.

Jamie, that "demagogue" figure is out there: His name is Vladimir Putin. Read up on the military and social programs he's instating. They're very eye opening and frightening.

I'm more worried about Iran's buddies Russia and Venezuela than about Iran itself -- but if you look around at the network that's forming, it's looking way too much like 1930s Europe for comfort. The only thing not out there right now is the demagogue who can sway the masses, the Hitler figure. Let's hope he does not appear, for it is the masses, not America, that hold this in check right now.
