Around the holidays there are always those special treats you only get to enjoy once a year. One of those treats is Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses. These are a must for anyone who loves peppermint bark. Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses are a treat you may find yourself stocking up on before the holidays are over. But, what makes them so great? What makes Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses irresistible?

Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses Review: Taste

Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses are made with creamy white chocolate and small pieces of peppermint. This combination is unbelievable. The smooth taste of white chocolate is the perfect background for the mouth cooling peppermint. The flavor of the peppermint almost seems to pop out of the creamy white chocolate. If you like mint and chocolate, this holiday treat is a must.

Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses Review: Quality

As with all other Hershey's products, Candy Cane Kisses are very high quality. The white chocolate is creamy, not waxy like some other brands. The small pieces of peppermint are nice and crunchy rather than gummy. The quality of Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses is so high you could easily give these away as a gift.

Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses Review: Variety of Uses

Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses can be used in so many different ways. The package has a wonderful recipe for cheesecake, but you could also use this holiday treat for cookies, fudge, and even frostings. If you happen to be building a gift basket for someone, place a couple bags of Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses into the bottom of the basket instead of using filler. Since Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses have such a festive look (red and white stripes) you could even use them to decorate cakes and other holiday treats. One last fun way to use Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses would be to melt them down as a base for a white chocolate peppermint cocoa.

Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses Review: Price

Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses will cost around $2.50 for an 11 ounce bag. An 11 ounce bag has 7 servings, which means that it will last for a few days. The key is to make yourself only eat a serving.

I love these and this past holiday season was the second year Hersey's has marketed them. When I found out they out again during Holidays 2007, I made the attempt to buy a bag or two each time to stock up for the rest of the year whenever I went to Walmart (didn't get as many as I wanted though, only four bags. How am I going to make them last till Thanksgiving 2008? Even if Hersey's makes these special edition kisses only for the holidays, I wish they would consider carrying them year round. The white chocolate candy cane ones are highly addictive.

Hershey's Kisses have their place, but NOTHING beats Cadbury's chocolates for quality and flavor. Nice write up!
