According to state.pa.us, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and the Pennsylvania State Police are being joined by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to locate an inmate who escaped from the State Correctional Institution in Albion, PA this past Sunday.

The inmate is Malcom Kysor, a 53-year-old inmate from Erie, PA. He was serving a life sentence since April 11, 1988 for a murder and had only been at the Correctional Institution since April 3rd of this year.

Police are doing all they can to apprehend Kysor. There are numerous patrol units out, including a search helicopter. Additionally, police officers are working to interview friends and family of the 53-year-old inmate, as well as those who have reported spotting him in their areas. A 50-mile radius search has left police empty handed for now.

Due to Kysor's escape, the State Correctional Institution has been locked down since Sunday evening and is working on transitioning to normal schedules and activities. Inmates are still not allowed to have visitors, but this will also return to normal once conditions are fully secured.

Aside from finding the wanted man, police are making sure that residents are safe. A system is currently active that automatically calls residents living near the prison to alert them of an emergency, no matter what it may be. Also, a siren is tested every day at exactly noon. If the siren is heard at any other time, it means that residents should lock their doors and turn on the local news to see the cause of it. The siren could go off for numerous reasons and not just because an inmate escaped.

Police are still hoping that residents near Albion or in any part of Pennsylvania will keep an eye out for Kysor. He is described as being white, 5'8", and 160 pounds. He has both brown hair and brown eyes. He also has numerous tattoos, including "flower and eagle on his right arm; rose with 2 hearts and a flower on his left arm; devil, heart and snake on his chest; and a devil with women and angel on a horse on his abdomen."

It's too late for me to read, but I really want to help you. I'm sure I'll come and actually read some of your articles later! Like I said, I know what it is like, and it is definitely not fun.

He's a fine poster boy for the death penalty. If fried, he would not be able to escape and not be able to kill again. When the hell are we going to learn to rid society of these scumbags? Good article.
