As part of the "Giving to Make A Change " campaign, Bishop Rick Hawkins and Family Praise Center, in September and October, partnered with Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, to help build a home for single mother Danielle Alvarado and her daughter Lauren.

After contributing $25,000 toward the purchase of building materials, the Family Praise Center congregation then supplied volunteers to help in the 13-week building process that involved everything from framing and roofing the house to laying tile for its floors.

Congratulations to the Alvarado family and a heart felt thanks to all the Family Praise Center volunteers who gave of their time and talent to make a change.
