rporates "Mind-Body Connection" to stimulate a child's ability to learn a second language.

Ready-Steady-Move is taught by movement specialists who know how to incorporate yoga, martial arts, and dance techniques into their teaching. Ready-Steady-Move is based on principles from the "Mind-body Connection." The "Mind-Body Connection" is a learning theory that argues that exercise increases your brains ability to learn because exercise improves circulation, even in the brain. Exercise also decreases stress, makes moods happier, and increases attention spans, all of which help the brain function better.

The Ready-Steady-Move program incorporates movements, games, dancing, original music, and songs to promote bodily movements that make learning a second language easier. The creators of the program argue that "the human body communicates through a complex set of movements" and that children start to learn these movements even before they are born and learn more and more of them as they grow. What the program does is teaches the English language vocabulary parallel to this inherent movement vocabulary.

The program developers also argue that the program is important today when children's learning is impaired with so many passive activities like watching television, using the Internet, and playing computer games.

The program was launched in both Israel and Italy simultaneously and has had tremendous success in both locations. It has become one of the most popular school programs ever to be initiated in Israel. For the second year, they expanded to program to involve 25 kindergartens instead of the initial 15. The also expanded it to include first graders and now 300 children are in the second year of the program. The program also gained worldwide notice in Italy when it was represented at Florence's "Fitness Festival."
