The base set of 2006 Topps Finest Baseball Cards will consist of 155 total cards. The first 131 cards will be of current MLB players such as Derek Jeter, David Ortiz, and Alex Rodriguez. The next 9 cards will be of rookies for the 2006 season. The last 15 cards in the set will be Autographed Rookie cards of some of the top rookies for 2006.

The 2 Mickey Mantle cards inserted per box come from the set Mantle Finest Moments. It is a 20 card set. Every card from the set is sequentially numbered to 599. The cards from this set also have the parallels listed above.
