Holidays are such an important part of each countries tradition along with supporting its culture. Some of the most popular holidays on earth either revolve around the Christian belief such as Easter and Christmas however there are other popular ones such as Independence Day, New Year Day, and Valentines and so on. Then there are strange and weird holidays that really have no meaning besides the mere purpose to have an excuse to celebrate something. Have you ever wondered what is going on around the world today?

Today marks the 333rd day of the year!

32 days left this year!

Here is what is going on today around the world:

1. United States:

*Electronic Greetings Day: The origin is never fully given in any resources however much imagination can give you one guess - the greeting card companies.

*Square Dance Day: Coming from over the pond in Great Britain, the Square dance was brought over by many immigrants entering the country. It has since then become a popular dance style, especially in the 1950-60's.

*Louisa May Alcott Birthday: Born in 1831, she was an American novelist.

*National Chocolates Day: Another fantastic reason to eat an all-time American favorite during the holidays - chocolate!

*Customer is Wrong Day: This is a real holiday that has been marked in a few resources online and in print; the origin is still unknown however I assume the person was not well liked in the work place. Today is the day to disagree with customers - I bet tomorrow will be, look for a new job day.

*Shannon Brown Birthday: Born in 1985, he is a professional Basketball Player for the NBA.

*Ehren McGhehey Birthday: Born in 1976, he is an American actor and daredevil popular for his work in Jackass.

*Anna Kay Faris Birthday: Born in 1976, she is an American actress best known for her leading role in Scary Movie.

*Larry Joe Campbell Birthday: Best known for his role in According to Jim, he is an American actor born in 1972.

*Donald Frank Cheadle Birthday: Born in 1964, he is a famous American actor.

*Andrew McCarthyBirthday: Born in 1962, he is a famous American Actor.

*Cathy Moriarty Birthday: Born in 1960, she is an American actress.
