We found it very difficult and embarrassed to bathe our first new born baby. More than our discomfort to sponge the baby, I feared to hurt the sensitive skin by tough handling while bathing them in a tub without sling. Above all I was worried abut the safety measures to be taken while bathing the infant. Then the Pediatrician suggested, The First Years Sure Comfort Newborn to Toddler Tub and this was a real blessing for us. I have been using it for past 8 months and I find it very useful.

I happened to see the foldable model from the same brand and it looked good. But the problem with that type is that as the baby grows it will become too small for the kid and restrict free movement. Contrary to that the Newborn to Toddler tub is crafted in such a way that it can comfortably accommodate the baby right from the new born to infant and finally to the toddler stage with change in bathing positions and techniques. This is not suitable for kids above two years old.

The Primo is also good but it is a bit bulky and does not suit the regular sink. The main highlight of this model is that it will sit in most of the sinks and it is easy for mothers to bathe the baby in kitchen or washroom sink. It is designed in such a way that the tub does not trip down and all the safety installations are done. However it is vital that the parents closely watch the kids and do not leave them in water even for a minute without your supervision. I don't think this tub can contain overweight kids and since my baby is of normal build, I did not have any problem.

At $16 it is cheap and worth the price. The pads are resistant to mild dews and does not turn out to be breeding ground of fungus and other bacteria. It is so easy to clean. All you have to do is to drain the water and wipe it with a soft cloth. Sometimes I dry it in sun for a fresh feeling. This comes with a drain plug that automatically undergoes a color change and alerts the parents when the temperature of the water becomes hotter than required. The sling will hold the baby and hence you can use both the hands to soap and wash the baby. However I support my baby using one hand beneath the sling and use the other to wipe the kid.
